I. Application Details for the Exchange Program
Participants in the exchange program can benefit from a waiver of tuition and fees at partner universities. However, a few partner universities may require payment of tuition and fees—please refer to the Overseas Exchange Partner Universities List for details.

- The exchange period is for one semester in the 2026 Spring term.
- For a list of eligible universities, please refer to the attached Excel file (Attachment 2). Additional information about partner universities can be found on the OGA website. Each applicant may select up to five preferred universities.
- No scholarships are provided for this application round.
- Applicants must be current NTHU students:
- Undergraduate students (sophomore year or above)
- Master's students (first year or above)
- Doctoral students (first year or above)
- Students must maintain their enrollment status and degree program at NTHU during both the application and exchange periods.
- Applicants must have a GPA of 3.2 or above over the past two semesters or rank within the top 50% of their class (average of the last two semesters). Applicants should provide transcripts for the second semester of Academic Year 112 and the first semester of Academic Year 113.
- Applicants must meet the language proficiency requirements set by NTHU, with valid test scores taken within the past two years (after January 2023):
- TOEFL iBT score of 79 or above (MyBest Scores not accepted)
- IELTS Academic score of 6.0 or above
Please refer to the exchange program’s language proficiency requirements for details. Submit a photocopy of your language test certificate; original documents will not be accepted.
Each applicant may list up to five partner universities in their order of preference.

Submit the following documents to your department in the specified order (do not include a cover page). All documents should be photocopied on A4 paper:
- 2026 Spring Overseas Exchange Program Application Form (Attachment 1)
- Official transcript: Undergraduate students must include class or department ranking(GPA one).
- First-year master’s students must provide their undergraduate transcript.
- First-year doctoral students must provide their master’s transcript.
- Study plan for overseas exchange (format flexible; acceptable in Chinese or English (Only for Ibba students)). Provide a study plan for each selected university (e.g., one study plan for one university, five study plans for five universities). A maximum of five universities may be selected.
- A photocopy of valid language proficiency test results taken within the past two years (after January 2023). Original copies will not be returned.
- A photocopy of the front and back of your ID card (for international and overseas Chinese students, a passport; for Mainland China students, an entry permit).
- A photocopy of the front and back of your NTHU student ID.
- One recommendation letter from an academic advisor (undergraduates), thesis advisor (graduate students), or faculty member. (Format flexible)
- Other supporting documents to enhance the review process.
Students must submit materials to the IBBA Office by 2:00 PM, Feb 25, 2025 (Tuesday).
After receiving their college rankings, students must submit their partner university preferences via the Google Form between 12:00 AM, March 15, 2025, and 12:00 PM, March 20, 2025. Failure to do so may affect eligibility for placement.

V. Additional Notes:
- Being approved by NTHU does not guarantee acceptance by the partner university. Each student may only apply for partner universities once, so ensure your selected universities align with your field of study and meet language requirements to avoid rejection.
- Results will be announced by the end of April 2025. Successful applicants must submit a Declaration of Exchange Agreement and Parent/Guardian Guarantee Agreement as instructed by the coordinator. If necessary, applicants may be asked about their willingness to participate in a second-round placement.
