【Exchange Program】Application: Outbound Exchange to Mainland China & Hong Kong(Apply for 2026 Fall ), please submit before February 9, 2026, at 17:00.
I. Eligibility
In accordance with the Regulations Governing the Selection of NTHU Students for Semester Exchange Programs in Mainland China, Hong Kong, and Macau:

All currently enrolled students of National Tsing Hua University are eligible to apply. However, specific restrictions are subject to the regulations of NTHU and the partner institutions.

Applicants must have achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or above, or ranked within the top 30% of their class, over the previous two semesters (Spring Semester of AY 2024–2025 and Fall Semester of AY 2025–2026).

First-year undergraduate, master’s, or doctoral students, as well as transfer students, must submit their academic transcripts from the previous semester at NTHU at the time of application.

Applicants with a record of leave of absence should follow the relevant regulations as stipulated in the Guidelines.

The exchange period is limited to one semester.
II. Application Period
Applications will be open from December 12, 2025, to February 9, 2026, at 17:00.

One Letter of Recommendation from an NTHU teacher.

Applicants applying for exchange programs in Hong Kong must submit proof of English proficiency when submitting application materials to the Office. Late submissions will not be accepted.

IV. Application Procedure (Student → Department → College → Office of Global Affairs)

Before submitting the hard-copy application to the department, applicants must complete Part I of the online application form (Link). Applications without online submission will be considered incomplete.

Submit the completed hard-copy application form and all required documents to the department for initial review, after which the materials will be forwarded to the college.

After college-level review, students will be notified of their college-wide ranking by 12:00 noon on Thursday, February 26, 2026.

This ranking is provided to assist students in evaluating their exchange school preferences and will be communicated directly by each college.

Colleges will submit the college ranking list, departmental ranking list, and student application materials to the Global Academic Cooperation Division.

After receiving the college ranking notification, applicants must complete Part II of the online application form (Link) to indicate their preferred exchange institutions by 12:00 noon on March 5, 2026. Failure to do so will affect eligibility for subsequent review.
V. Exchange Institution Eligibility and Quotas

Please refer to the Office of Global Affairs website for the latest list of partner institutions
(Exchange Programs → Mainland China, Hong Kong, and Macau Exchange Programs (Outgoing) → Partner Institutions). -
Applicants must carefully review the regulations of each host institution. Some institutions accept undergraduate students only, or do not accept graduating students or international students (e.g., students from Mainland China or foreign nationals).

The implementation of exchange programs is subject to the latest notification from the partner institution for the respective semester.
VI. Scholarship
Scholarships are available only to currently enrolled NTHU students and will be disbursed after completion of exchange obligations for Mainland China, Hong Kong, or Macau programs.
No separate application is required. Scholarship availability and amounts are subject to the annual budget.
