【Exchange Program】Applications Open for Spring 2026 (Academic Year 114) Exchange to Mainland China, Hong Kong, and Macau

I. Based on the "Guidelines for the Selection of NTHU Students for Semester Exchange Programs in Mainland China, Hong Kong, and Macau"

All current NTHU students are eligible to apply; however, specific eligibility requirements are subject to the regulations set by each partner institution.

Applicants must have a GPA of 3.2 or above for the previous two semesters (Fall and Spring of Academic Year 113), or be ranked in the top 30% of their class. First-year undergraduate/graduate students or transfer students must submit their most recent NTHU transcript. Students with a leave of absence should refer to the full guidelines.

The exchange period is limited to one semester.

From July 10th to August 8th.

Recommendation letter from an NTHU faculty member_Please check out the attached file.

Proof of English proficiency is required for applicants to Hong Kong. This must be submitted with the application to the Division of Global Affairs (OGA); late submissions will not be accepted.

IV. Application Process (→ Department(IBBA) → College(CTM) → Division of Global Affairs)

Before submitting the hardcopy documents to your department(IBBA), please complete Part I of the online application (link). Applications without the online submission will be considered incomplete.

Submit the completed printed documents and attachments to your department. The department will conduct an initial review and forward the documents to the college.

After the college review, students will be notified of their ranking by the college by 12:00 PM on Thursday, August 28, 2025. This ranking is for reference when choosing preferred exchange schools and will be communicated directly by the college. The college will also forward the complete ranking lists and student applications to the Division of Global Affairs.

Upon receiving the ranking notification, students must complete Part II of the online application (link) to indicate their preferred exchange schools by September 1, 2025. Failure to do so may affect eligibility.
V. Exchange School Eligibility and Quotas

Please refer to the most updated list of partner institutions on the OGA website (Exchange Program → China/Hong Kong/Macau Exchange → Partner Schools).

Carefully review each host institution’s eligibility criteria. Some schools only accept undergraduate students, or do not accept graduating students, or international students (e.g., students from Mainland China or other countries).

Whether an exchange program will proceed depends on the host institution’s most recent confirmation.
VI. Scholarships

Only available to currently enrolled NTHU students who complete the exchange obligations in Mainland China, Hong Kong, or Macau.

Scholarship availability is subject to the university's annual budget.
