Applications are now open for Spring 2027 outbound exchange programs to Mainland China and Hong Kong until Aug. 11th
Eligibility
- All currently enrolled NTHU students may apply, subject to the requirements of NTHU and its partner universities.
- Applicants must have achieved a GPA of 3.2 or above or ranked within the top 30% of their class during the previous two semesters (Fall 2025 and Spring 2026).
- First-year undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral students, as well as transfer students, must submit an NTHU transcript from the previous semester.
- The exchange period is one semester.
Application Period
Applications are open from July 9 to Aug. 11th.
Required Documents
- Application form (typed and printed)
- Study plan (typed and printed)
- Official transcript of all academic records (undergraduate transcripts must include class and departmental rankings)
- Recommendation letter from an NTHU faculty member
- Proof of English proficiency for applicants applying for exchange programs in Hong Kong. This document must be submitted to the Office of Global Affairs with the application; late submissions will not be accepted.

Application Procedure
Student → Department(IBBA office) → College → Office of Global Affairs
- Before submitting the printed documents to your department, complete Part I of the online application form: [Link]
- Submit the printed application form and supporting documents to your department for initial review.
- The college will notify applicants of their overall college ranking by 12:00 noon on September 1, 2026.
- After receiving the ranking notification, applicants must complete Part II of the online form and indicate their preferred exchange universities in order of priority by 12:00 noon on September 4, 2026: [Link]
Failure to complete the required online forms may affect your eligibility for further review.
Partner Universities and Quotas
Please visit the Office of Global Affairs website for the latest list of partner universities and carefully review each university’s requirements. Some universities may accept undergraduate students only or may not accept graduating or international students.
The availability of each exchange program is subject to the latest notification from the partner university.
Scholarship
Eligible currently enrolled NTHU students will receive the scholarship after completing all exchange obligations. No separate application is required. Scholarship availability and amounts are subject to the funding available for the relevant year.
